Description
A Walk through the Prayer Book introduces the reader to one of the youngest members of the Anglican family of Prayer Books – the 2019 Book of Common Prayer of the Anglican Church in North America. The author takes us step by step through Daily and Sunday Worship: the Daily Office, the Canticles, the Great Litany and Decalogue, and the two Rites of the Holy Eucharist. He continues the journey through the Rites and Resources of the Church: Holy Baptism and Confirmation, the Pastoral Rites, the Psalter, the Ordinal, the Institution of a Rector and Consecration and Dedication of a Place of Worship, the Collects and Occasional Prayers, the Church Year with its Special Liturgies, Calendars and Lectionaries. He concludes by surveying the Doctrinal Foundations of the Anglican Church in North America.
“This book is a treasure.”
– The Most Rev. Robert W. Duncan

The Rev. Dr. Arnold W. Klukas brings a wide and rich service of academic teaching and pastoral ministry from London to Pittsburgh, from Oxford to Nashotah House. Father Klukas served on the ACNA Liturgy Task Force, which produced the 2019 Book of Common Prayer and thus speaks with intimate knowledge of its riches.
