Anglican House Media Ministries Welcomes Rev. Dr. Christopher Stroup As New President And CEO
Anglican House Media Ministries, Inc. has named the Rev. Dr. Christopher Stroup as its new president and chief executive officer. Chris succeeds founding CEO Canon Ron Speers who retired in 2023 after establishing the organization to fulfill the publishing needs of the Anglican Church in North America with an initial focus on publishing The Book of Common Prayer (2019). Before coming to Anglican House, Chris served as CEO of the Joy to the World Foundation and assistant research professor of New Testament at the School of Theology and Ministry at Boston College.
Endorsements from Anglican Leaders
The Rev. Dr. Stephen Noll served as Interim CEO in 2023 after the retirement of Canon Speers. “During my tenure,” Noll says, “I became aware of the remarkable birth of Anglican House ten years ago and its important and ongoing contribution to the ACNA. I am convinced that Chris Stroup is the right man to take this work forward.”
“Dr. Stroup brings a wonderful energy and vision to Anglican House Media. Chris brings fresh insight for how Anglican House Publishers can serve the province and the broader Christian Community. Dr. Stroup is exactly what we need to take us to the next level of ministry and service,” said Bishop Eric Menees, member of the AHP Board and Bishop Ordinary of the Diocese of San Joaquin.
The Future of Anglican Housetle Goes Here
Stroup said, “I am excited and honored to be given the opportunity to join the amazing work of Anglican House Publishers and to lead it into the next generation of partnership with the ACNA. It is my deep desire that we serve the publishing needs of our Province, our dioceses, our parishes, and our ministry partners by producing timeless liturgical texts and high-quality, biblically-centered resources for the clergy and people of our Province and the Global Anglican family. Anglican House, as the publisher of The Book of Common Prayer (2019), has the unique opportunity, and indeed responsibility, to lead with a ‘big table’ approach that welcomes the full breadth of the ACNA to feast at Christ’s table.”
