Qualifications and Qualities

  • Clergy or lay member of the Anglican Church in North America in good standing (1 Tim 3:2-7)
  • Willingness to serve the spectrum of traditions and practices in the ACNA
  • Theological education (Master’s level or above)
  • Experience in writing, editing, and publishing print and electronic media
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial ability, including fundraising
  • Ability to manage full- and part-time staff and to consult with peers
  • Sense of vocation to and prayer for this ministry
  • Proactive in identifying and seeking out needed new markets to further the mission of Anglican House Media Ministry
  • Vision and commitment to the global Anglican Communion

Areas of Responsibility

Executive Oversight

  • Maintaining strong relationship with ACNA leadership and global partners
  • Working closely with Board of Directors and Board Chairman
  • Representing AHP in church functions and wider corporate bodies (e.g,, PCPA, ECPA)

Editor

  • Producing high quality Bibles, Prayer Books, hymnals, and liturgical supplements for the ACNA
  • Soliciting high quality books for publication (Anglican House Books)
  • Gathering editorial advisors to evaluate manuscripts
  • Reading, revising and approving final copy for publication, including design and artwork
  • Developing alternative media resources – e-books, audio-books
  • Keeping up with new ideas and opportunities in the field

Manager and Fundraiser

  • Developing an efficient model for AHP publishing
  • Finding corporate partners in the publishing world to facilitate AHP’s work
  • Friend-and-fund-raising to enable AHP to support future ventures
  • Developing and working with an “activist” Board of Directors
  • Following the priorities established by the Board o Directors
  • Managing, possibly from a home office, a slim and capable staff of volunteer and paid assistants and consultants,
  • Producing and overseeing the budget and financial accounts

Salary including Housing (if applicable) and Benefits: $90,000-$100,000
